2007  GENERAL RULES

The purpose of this series is to promote enduro racing and to recognize it's importance in the sport of auto racing.

The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the condition of all events, and by participating in these events, all participants are deemed to have complied with these rules.

NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF SAFETY SHALL RESULT FORM PUBLICATIONS OF OR COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES AND/OR REGULATIONS.
They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.

I. All competitors shall be subject to the rules and regulations of NEETS
as stated or amended.
II. Drivers/owners must have entered into more than half of the 2007
scheduled events to be eligible for championship points and vacation
packages.
a. 2007 licenses are free and points/chances will start at first paid
registration.
b. Points will be dropped at season end if the required number of races
is not met.
III. Verbal or other abuse of officials, employees, other participants, or
patrons WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
a. Steps will be taken as necessary to maintain a trouble-free atmosphere.
i. Suspensions and/or fines may be issued by the directors of NEETS
for rough driving, abusive behavior, or un-sportsmanlike conduct.
ii. Fighting, threats, or other acts of violence by competitors will also
result in LOSS OF POINTS, suspensions, and/or fines as issued
by the directors of NEETS as well as criminal complaints issued
against the individuals involved.
Drivers and pit personnel should stay in their own pit area.
iii. Anyone in an altercation at another pit area or other area of the
raceway grounds will automatically be considered at fault.
iv. The driver and owner are responsible for the behavior of all
persons with the car.
IV. Any party who willfully or maliciously uses a race car on the track or in
the pit area to injure, destroy or damage another person or personal
property will be disqualified, suspended, fined and may be subject to arrest.
V. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited anywhere on the speedway
grounds until a minimum 15 minutes after the last event.
Obviously, the use or possession of any illegal controlled substances is
strictly prohibited. Violators are subject to disqualification, suspension,
and/or fine. Driver is responsible for all persons with the race car.
Check with separate track rules first, they may be different.
VI. All cars are subject to technical inspection as deemed suitable by the
NEETS officials. Their decision is final regarding the safety and
legality of all race cars.
a. Visual protests by competitors may be brought to the attention of the
NEETS officials and do not require a protest fee. Visual protests must
be made prior to the start of the event. Must be in writing, signed by
driver/owner, submitted to NEETS officials.
b. There will be no other protesting allowed. All technical items and
inspections will be left entirely up to the NEETS officials
c. Any competitor refusing an inspection will be automatically
disqualified.
VII. VII. No equipment shall be considered approved simply because it
passed through inspection unobserved.
VIII. All weights, percentages and measurements are after race with driver
in car.
IX. Any time you are disqualified you will receive no points or money.
X. All NEETS cars will start in all points races.
XI. The dumping of any fluids or tires will result in fines and suspension.
XII. A driver can borrow a car if his own car is present and had been
disabled. He must notify NEETS officials of this change at least 1/2
hour prior to race start.

Remember...The NEETS events are intended to be fun, family and charity oriented. Please leave any attitudes at home and come and have a good time.

NOTE - Any and all rules are geared toward even competition in the spirit of Enduro racing. Anything not covered in the above rules may not be legal and should be asked of the NEETS tech man before the race. Do not assume anything is legal and then find out differently in the tech area. We are here to have fun and do not want to see anyone be DQed.
