NEETS Set to Return to Grandview SpeedwayStory by:Geno Ostrowski TJMM After kicking off its season in April, the North East Enduro Tour Series, commonly known as "NEETS", will return to Grandview Speedway in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania on Sunday, May 24 with a full slate of enduro action. The Memorial Day "Madness on Dirt" is scheduled to begin at 2:30 PM with a grandstand admission price of $7. The 4-cyl. division will compete for 100-laps in the "Freedom 100" and the 6/8-cyl. machines will take to the dirt for 100-laps of green flag racing in the "Liberty 100". Series' Promoter, Joe Cutri said that he was impressed with the amount of drivers that turned the 1/3-mile oval in April and he hopes that the already stellar car counts will improve as the season progresses. Although it isn't mandatory, Cutri advises drivers to pre-register for the event. "This way the drivers get a pit spot, they can pull a pill for his or her starting spot and it also eases the registration process before racing", he stated. During rough economic times, the series lacks sponsorship for single events, division and series sponsorship. Cutri believes that he came up with a good plan to help promote anyone that might be interested in becoming a sponsor of the series.
