NEETS & Elk Motorsports:
Teaming Up to Help
The Relay For Life!

Story by: Joe Cutri
Date: February 24, 2009

The title speaks for itself... NEETS will be helping Shon Elk from Elk Motorsports, driver of the 10X Big Car, to raise as much money as possible this racing season to aid the "Relay For Life".

In 2009, Elk Motorsports will be working exclusively with Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society. Shon was looking for an opportunity to give back to the community and it made perfect sense to work with the American Cancer Society. Shon's family has been deeply affected by cancer and working for a cure is a big priority for Shon and the team.

Shon and the team are planning a fund raising event to benefit Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society in the early spring. The goal for 2009 is to raise $1000. Also as the schedule allows, the Elk Motor Sports team will also be engaging in Relay for Life activities.

Although the event is targetted for early spring, NEETS will be helping Elk Motorsports raise money the entire racing season by placing donation bins at all concession stand windows during the NEETS Enduros at Grandview Speedway. Also, keep a watchful eye out for your favorite NEETS officials to make an appearance on some Saturday night events at various venues trying to raise funds to help Elk Motorsports and the Relay!

You can stay up to date with the most recent information being posted either on the NEETS Forum or the Elk Motorsports Website. For more information on the Relay and the American Cancer Society, log on to www.relayforlife.org.

Thank you very much and we hope you will help us more than just meet Shon's goal!
