NEETS Enduro Racing Will Close Out Mahoning Valley Season The 2007 racing season at Mahoning Valley Speedway will come to a close on Sunday afternoon, November 11 with a three division program of enduro features. The Northeast Enduro Touring Series (NEETS) will have their final event which is dubbed “The Mutha of all Enduros.” The action will include 200 lap mains for the 6/8-cylinders and 4-cylinders while the TRUX will contest in a 100-lapper. Racing is scheduled to start at 2:00 pm. Each event carries double points. This is the eighth and final race in the 2007 NEETS Holiday Stock Car Series. Joe Jentile remains the hot ticket in the 6/8-cylinder class, winning five of seven races thus far including the most recently run show on October 21. Jentile, however, is third in points behind his teammate Phil Lomonaco and Richard Petey. With only 18 points separating the top three the title chase should turnout to be a real barnburner come the November 11 showdown. Despite going winless, Don Rogers sits atop the 4-cylinder standings. This class has been extremely competitive as no driver has yet to repeat as a visitor to victory lane. Dave Bentley, Jr., John Saccamondi, Dennis Sizemore and Ryan Nelson are all within striking distance of the point leader. Petey meanwhile commands a solid lead heading into the TRUX race finale. Prior to the start of the features there will be a top-10 challenge race each for the 6/8 and 4-cylinders. |
