Sunday, June 21st 2009 - Grandview Speedway

This will be the 3rd NEETS event of the 2009 POINTS season at Grandview Speedway! This event will feature both divisions, Big and Small Cars, racing for a total of 211 laps. Cars from anywhere can join in the fun but must meet NEETS rules and, as always, you are encouraged to decorate your car with a family-friendly theme!!!

This is the THIRD OF EIGHT points races! So remember...
You may be racing just to have fun, or you may be taking this a bit more serious and be racing for a championship... Either way is fine, just remember that if you are just out to have some fun, there are some drivers who are racing for points. We would like to see everyone walk away from each race with a smile, car in tact (well, at least in tact enough to race again) and UNINJURED!

Custom NEETS 4th of July themed trophies will be awarded
to the top 5 in each division

NEETS Trophies are one of a kind trophies!
Official NEETS Trophy Supplier:

Purse will be paid to the top XX drivers...depends on car counts.
See 2009 Purse Page for more info on payouts.

BEST DECORATED THEMED CAR AWARD!!!
The NEETS registration girls Erin and Cindy will be choosing the BEST DECORATE car with a "4th of July theme" from each division. Winners will receive a FREE REGISTRATION TO THE NEXT EVENT!!! So please remember to decorate your car for the race! Just make sure it can't fall off, cut tires or be set off after the GREEN FLAG is thrown!!!
Any firecrackers to be attached to the vehicle to be set off once on the track must be small in scale, no major fireworks that will leave debris on the track.
Any firecrakers on the vehicle must be set off during the pace laps, after the transponder check and before the green flag is thrown.
Any vehicle that sets off a firecracker during the race will be DQ'd...

NEW IN 2009 !!!
ALL CARS will run through a rudimentary technical inspection PRIOR to racing.
At first arrival at the speedway on the day of the event, after you have registered for the event, you will bring your car to the designated "Tech Area". Your car will be checked for legality...IF your car does not meet NEETS rules, the Tech Inspector has the right to either allow you to race for "NO POINTS-NO PURSE" or deny you the ability to participate in the event altogether. The only way you will be denied the chance to race is if your car does not meet safety standards...

Any car will be allowed to race regardless of legality, but an illegal car will receive no payout for a money position, no trophy and no points awarded to the driver...this is based on your ability to play by the rules.

The only change being made here is that EVERYONE will be tech inspected versus just the top five paying positions...illegal cars will be caught before the race and the driver will be given the chance to make the car legal if possible, giving the driver a fighting chance before the race instead of losing all points and purse after the race... This change in procedure will help anyone who is racing and being honest...an illegal car can wrap up each race in 6th/7th position and bring home a top (if not the championship) position at the end of the season based on consistency alone.

At the end of the race, a post-race tech will still be performed and if our tech official believes an illegal part may have slipped through or have been hidden or not replaced if mentioned prior to race, you can still be DQ'd.

RULES OF THE RACE
For a complete list of NEETS Rules and Regulations please see the "RuleBook".

Decorations
If you decide to decorate your car for the event, please make sure any and all decorations are fastened securely to the vehicle! It is imperative that no sharp or protruding objects are on the sides of your car...no tire cutters!
It's redundant....but...
